Online Buddhist temples: Sansa and the Buddhist3D Pure Land visitor guide
· Buddhist3D
After a tiring day, you may want somewhere quiet without planning a trip. Sansa's online temple has drawn attention to that simple wish. If you are also looking for a Chinese or English Buddhist space to explore, this guide explains what Buddhist3D offers and how to begin at your own pace.

Why are people talking about Sansa?
Sansa is a Korean online temple. Its official introduction describes prayer beads, bows and a place to pause. In an October 31 interview with Yonhap, its creator said he wanted a temple break during his job search but lacked the energy to go out. The reported 600,000 visits over three days were a developer statement, not a follower count.
What is Buddhist3D?
Buddhist3D, also called 3D极乐世界 or 3D極樂世界, is an interactive Buddhist digital-art project inspired by Pure Land imagery. Explore a 3D landscape and Buddhist halls, or begin with a written scene guide, a recitation hall, original music, scripture resources and Buddhist news. Basic browsing and 3D visits do not require registration; optional membership and application features have their own explanations.
Buddhist3D and Sansa are independent projects with no affiliation or partnership. Our Pure Land scenes are artistic interpretations, not footage of a spiritual realm. Online interactions do not measure spiritual merit, attainment or health outcomes.
Choose an experience that suits you
| What would you like to do? | Where to begin |
|---|---|
| Try the Korean temple's bead and bow interactions | Visit Sansa's own website; features and availability are determined there. |
| Explore Buddhist figures, lotus ponds and halls in Chinese or English | Read the Buddhist3D scene guide, then enter the 3D Pure Land. |
| Listen, read or pause without loading a 3D scene | Use the lightweight start page, music page or recitation hall. |
A simple first-visit route
- Open the scene guide and choose a place: the Three Sages, the lotus pond or one of the halls.
- Enter the 3D world and let the current view prepare. Use the roaming menu to select a destination, or explore with the movement controls.
- To learn about individual figures, choose the Hall of Ten Thousand Buddhas entrance and use the introductions inside. Follow the menus currently shown on the site.
- For a quieter visit with less loading, use the start page's self-guided pause or listen to a song on the music page.
What if the 3D world loads slowly on my phone?
The website can be opened in a phone or desktop browser. The 3D scene uses larger resources than a text page, so loading depends on your connection, device and cache. Smooth performance is not assured on every phone. Start with the lightweight page and written guide on a stable connection. If your device becomes hot or the scene stutters, pause the 3D experience and use the reading or music pages instead. Opening a lightweight page does not mean the 3D world has finished loading.
